Papua New Guinea Dancer with Drum in ALBANY, Western Australia for sale

This piece of Copper Artwork is not signed nor named ,but it is thought to be the work of Richard Saleh, a Papua New Guinean artist whose style is very similar to the work portrayed in this beautiful piece. The intricate copper work and the definition in the subject of the artwork is quite elaborate. The subject is a Papua New Guinean Dancer with a drum and probably is from the coastal region of the country.
The piece dates back to 1977-79 when Mr Saleh atudied at the School of Art and Design at the Gorka Technical College in the Highlands. The School catered for potential artists from all over the newly declared independent country.
The Copper Artwork measures 59cm x 38cm x 2cm and weighs 1.16kg. It is simply framed.
